Two gentle steps. You get an invite code for the other parent on the way out — copy it, share it, or find it later in Settings.

Photos, a video, a voice memory, or just the words they said. It saves instantly and finishes uploading in the background.

Mark the firsts, gather favourites into albums, and let "On this day" bring the old ones back on its own.
Thoughtful in every detail

Never a nag
No streaks, no "you missed three weeks", no progress bars. Missed slots are soft dashed placeholders and firsts are "around now", never overdue.
Private by design
Nothing in BabySteps is publicly linkable. Photos upload straight from your phone into private storage and are only ever served through links that expire within the hour.
It's on your phone too
Photos and videos you shoot inside the app are also saved to your own camera roll, so your normal phone backup has them. One switch turns it off.
It saves before it uploads
A moment appears in your timeline the second you save it, straight off your phone. A dead spot at the playground doesn't cost you the memory.
Built for siblings
Narrow the timeline to one child, or leave it merged — every card then carries whose moment it is, and reads off that child's own age, not the other one's.
English & Deutsch
The app is written twice over — screens, empty states, and the notifications the server sends you. Even the iOS permission pop-ups are in your language.
